Q．What prefectures are equipped with EMS Helicopters (Dr. Heli) in Japan?

A．Currently, nine prefectures(ten hospitals), Hokkaido, Chiba, Kanagawa, Shizuoka (an eastern part and western part), Nagano, Aichi, Wakayama (covering part of Mie and Nara Prefectures), Okayama, and Fukuoka operate a EMS Helicopter (Dr. Heli) system.

 In these days, some prefectures(ex. Hyogo,Yamaguchi. etc.) are  operating the emergency helicopter which used to be a fire-fighting disaster prevention helicopter.
