Q．How much will it cost to be treated on or sent to a hospital by a EMS Helicopter (Dr. Heli)?

A．The helicopter service itself is free of charge.

However, the patient is billed for the observation and treatment given by physicians on-site. The charge is equivalent to ordinary house call and emergency transport charges, and covered by health insurance. It should be paid to the relevant medical institution. The amounts billed vary according to the observation/treatment, but are almost the same as the price of a house call for the same condition by a general practitioner.
