Transportation from Hotel to Place of Meeting

Bus service from the Hotel to the place of meeting (Tachibana Hall, Aichi Medical University) will be available during the symposium.

Another way from the Hotel to the place of meeting, Aichi Medical University, is the use of subway. From Nagoya Station, you should take Higashiyama (Yellow) Line to Fujigaoka (the end of the line), with the fare of 290JPY. From Fujigaoka to the University, free bus service in 15 min interval is available.

Air Travel from Abroad

1. Arriving at Chubu (New Nagoya) International Airport “Centrair” (NGO)

 Centrair airport has opened on March 17, 2005 for a new gate of Central Area of Japan, including Nagoya. You can use Meitetsu Railroad from Centrair. The "Central Japan International Airport Station" is located on the 2nd floor of Access Plaza and connected to the Passenger Terminal Bldg. by the connection passage. Please use the connection passage to come to the 2nd floor of Access Plaza from the Arrival Lobby (2nd Floor, Passenger Terminal Bldg.). On the Access Plaza, you can find the platform for Meitetsu Nagoya Station of Nagoya Railroad Company. Only 28 minutes will take you from the Airport to Meitetsu Nagoya Station of Nagoya Railroad Company, where the passenger could walk to the Hotel in 5 min.

Connection of Centrair to the World

An international airport with a substantial domestic flight network. 94 flights per day to 24 cities in Japan, and 302 flights per week to 29 cities overseas (Schedule for summer 2005). The Airport with convenient connections between international and domestic flights.

2. Arriving at Narita (New Tokyo) International Airport  (NRT)

From Narita Airport to Nagoya

From  Narita airport to Tokyo station

From Narita Airport, which has two terminals, there are two JR station for each terminals. At each terminal, the station is at the underground floor. So you should follow the signs for JR station. At the entrance, you should buy a ticket to Tokyo Station. There are two kinds of train services, one is Narita Express (NEX) and the other is local train. It might be better to take NEX since it directly go to Tokyo Station without stopping (next station is Tokyo). The train fee is 2940 JPY for each person, and the time will be 60 min.

The airport limousine bus is available at the exit of Narita Airport. The fare will be 3,000JPY with 80 min.

Taxi is expensive. The distance from Narita to Tokyo is 60 km, so that the fee will be 17,000JPY.

 

From Tokyo  to Nagoya station

        You should take the NOZOMI super express. All the trains stop at Nagoya. The train fee is 10,780 JPY for each person, and the time will be 105min.

3. Arriving at Kansai (New Osaka) International Airport (KIX)

From Kansai Airport to Nagoya

JR limited express, “Haruka” will take you to “Shin Osaka”, where you should exchange the trains to “Shinkansen”, bullet train, Nozomi, Hikari, Kodama for Nagoya with a fare of 4520JPY..

At JR Nagoya Station, you can reach at the Hotel in 3 min walk.
